Pat Archer has been a sports health care specialist and educator for over 30 years. As a Certified Athletic Trainer (1977), Licensed Massage Therapist (1985) and Sports Massage Specialist, her technical expertise and work experience at all levels of athletic competition provide a unique combination of skills and insights for students and professionals alike. 

Some of the career highlights for Pat include:

• Sports massage coordinator/therapist for the Seattle Sonics of the NBA from 1994 through 2001, and Seattle Storm of the WNBA from inception in 2000 through 2003.
• Associate Head Athletic Trainer at University of Montana, 1977-1983.
• Director of Education and Instructor at the Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle, 1986-1997.  Instructor, Curriculum Advisor, and Sports Program Director 1997 to present.
• Director of Massage Services, 1997 USA Track and Field National Championships.
• Sports Massage Therapist for University of Washington men’s and women’s swimming 2000-2006.
• Athletic Trainer and Massage Therapist at the Centennial Olympic Games in 1996.
• Past chairperson for the AMTA Sports Massage Education Council and Special Committee for Evaluation of the National Sports Massage Team.
• Author:  1. Massage for Sports Health Care, a workbook for the self study course of same title, video by Benny Vaughn, Human Kinetics, 1999.
  2.  “Three Clinical Sports Massage Techniques for Treating Injured Athletes”  May 2001 Athletic Therapy Today.
