Lori has been a licensed massage practitioner for over 20 years. Over the years, she has worked in a wide variety of settings including physicianʼs and chiropractorʼs offices, a large upscale health club, an Aveda spa and private practice.
She has a life long fascination with the mind/body/spirit connection and with the innate self-healing ability of each individual. Lori brings an integrated approach and a wide variety of modalities to her massage.
Having graduated from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM), she practiced acupuncture for 7 years along with her massage. In addition, she continually enjoys expanding her knowledge with continuing education and has in depth experience and training in spa treatments, therapeutic massage, foot reflexology, Reiki, and more.
She customizes each session to the clientʼs preference, from intense, specific deep muscle work to a lighter, more relaxation oriented massage. She particularly enjoys and is well known for her neck and shoulder work.
Loriʼs intention for every session is to bring a state of presence and mindfulness, where intuition and deep listening is the guide and a nurturing, calming, healing experience for the client is the result. It is her belief that when one can deeply relax and tap into their felt bodily (somatic) experience, that healing can begin. She is continually amazed at the transformative ability of each individual when there is presence.
In her free time, Lori loves to read, paint, meditate and be outside... whether its running in the woods near her house, hiking, skiing, gardening or just hanging out. Above all she enjoys her relationships... the connection she has with friends, family and all the amazing people she has met and continues to meet in her life.
