A graduate of the Port Townsend School of Massage, Christopher came
to massage after it relieved his debilitating back pain when traditional methods failed. Amazed by the power of touch, he now seeks to help others ease their pain, and enjoy their lives more.
Chris's approach to massage is that of a problem solver. He is fascinated by the way daily life, past injuries, and genetics all play a role about how we feel in our bodies. A the first session Chris prefers to take about 15 minutes (free of charge) to talk to clients about their lives and assess their physical ailments. He will also ask
them about their preferences and immediate needs to ensure their expectations are met.
Chris's sessions are often interactive, involving stretching, verbal feedback, deliberate breathing, and visualization. He's trained in sports, Swedish, deep tissue and orthopedic massage. He has advanced training in orthopedic massage and Active Isolated Stretching. He's currently pursuing an advanced certification in orthopedic massage from the Orthopedic Massage Education and Research Institute (OMERI) and is scheduled completion in the summer of 2011.
Chris moved out west from the east coast 8 years ago, loves living near the coast, mountains, and three national parks.
